These figures demonstrate the changing price ranges over the past twenty years in Emerald Estates.  In 1980, this area's housing prices were within the two highest price ranges.  As Whistler grew through the years, housing prices decreased in value in this area.  The 1990 and 2000 figures, demonstrates this decrease.  By 1990 housing values dropped to the middle price ranges and by 2000 housing prices were within the lowest range.  This decrease in price values is probably also due to the increased number of restricted housing units in this area (refer to restricted housing map).
